Eugene F. Dench

Eugene F. Dench, of Hyde Park, passed away on April 11, 2017.  He was 83 years old. 

Born and raised in West Roxbury, Eugene loved traveling to various places with his beloved wife, Joyce, including Hawaii and to Maine twice a year.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he and Joyce never missed a school event, often traveling considerable distances to be there for their grandchildren.

Eugene was the dear and devoted husband of 57 years of the late Joyce (Reardon), whom he met in the CYO Band at St. Theresa of Avila in West Roxbury and predeceased him less than 2 weeks ago.  Loving father of William Dench and his wife Beth of Seekonk, and Paul Dench and his wife Beth of Cumberland, RI.  Loving grandfather of Sarah, Nicholas, Emily, Stephen and Eric.  Dear uncle of his loving niece and his loving nephews. Dear brother of the late Robert E. Dench.

Eugene’s Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10 a.m.  A Funeral Mass will celebrate his life at St. Pius X Church in Milton at 11 a.m.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday 5-8 p.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eugene’s memory may be made to the St. Elizabeth’s Foundation, 736 Cambridge St. Brighton, MA 02135.

Eugene will be laid to rest with his beloved Joyce at the Gardens Cemetery in West Roxbury.
