Frederick Naddaff Obituary

Frederick J. Naddaff, of Quincy, passed away on February 9, 2018. He was 88 Years old.

Frederick was the dear and devoted husband of Ethel (Barnes).  Loving father of Frederick Naddaff Jr. and his wife Linda of Easton, Nadine Miller and her husband Dean of Mansfield, Madeline FitzGerald and her husband John of Bridgewater, Nannette O’Brien and her husband Daniel of Easton and Martine Murphy and her husband Paul of Norton.  Cherished grandfather “Jiddo” of Frederick III, Derek, Elyse, Nicholas, Alexander, Shannon and Christopher, Shane, Jake, Kimberly, Daniel, Emily, Paul, Bret and Madeline.  Dear brother of Najlah Skuncik of Franklin and Jeanne Handy of Foxboro and the late Madeline Handy, Mitchell Naddaff, Yvonne Habeeb and James Naddaff.  He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Fred met the love of his life, Ethel, at the Kelek Company in 1954, and they were married in 1957. In 1963, they purchased their own business, Farrington Market, in Quincy and he became a fixture in the community. In 1991, Fred and Ethel retired to Vero Beach where they spent 12 wonderful years, frequently visited by their children and grandchildren. In 2003, they moved back to West Bridgewater to be closer to family. In September of 2017 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Fred was an avid Boston sports fan, following all the local teams. Earlier in life he enjoyed bowling and later picked up golf while living in Florida. Perhaps his favorite past-time was playing cards with friends and family. Throughout Fred’s life, his home was open to all, as the moments he spent with family and friends were those most important to him. His smile, sense of humor, patience and big heart will be missed by all who knew him.
