Helen (Moses) Tower, of Roslindale, formerly of Boston’s South End, passed away on April 17, 2018. She was 94 years old.
Born and raised in Boston’s South End, Helen was a graduate of Girls High School. She had a passion for knitting, cooking and baking what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen was the dear and devoted wife of the late Thomas Tower. Loving mother of Thomas J. Tower and his wife Kathleen of West Roxbury, Geri Quinn and her husband Greg of Needham Heights, Dr. Tammy T. Quinn and her husband Dana of Walpole and Tanya T. Newburg and her husband Howard of Boston. Beloved grandmother “Sithou” of Jill Constantine and her husband William, Melissa Byrne and her husband Joseph, Michaela Pavlik and her husband Cory, Gregory Quinn and his wife Aly, Stephen Quinn and his wife Michele, Daniel Quinn and his wife Allison, Nathaniel Newburg and his wife Karen, and Dr. Cassandra Mackey and her husband David. Cherished great-grandmother, “Big Sithou” of Mark and Ava Constantine, Tommy and Sadie Byrne, Brayden, Finnegan and Elise Pavlik, Madeline and Andrew Quinn and Declan and Reagan Quinn, and Harry Newburg.
Helen’s Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Name Church, West Roxbury. Visiting hours beginning at 9 a.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Helen will be laid to rest with her beloved Thomas at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
