She once held the distinguished position of Honorary Mayor of West Roxbury. She was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the Nicholas G. Beram Veterans Assoc. and a member of the Order of St. Ignatius. A devoted, life-long parishioner of the Church of St. John of Damascus, as a member and past President of the Church Committee, she played a significant role in working to provide the 9 beautiful crystal chandeliers that hang in the Church today.

Olivia was the dear and devoted daughter of the late Ameen and Mary (Nashawaty). Loving sister of Haney Waishek and Corrine Solomon both of West Roxbury, and the late Freddie Waishek.
