Rose Marie (Derany) Tawa

Rose Marie (Derany) Tawa, of Manomet, formerly of Westwood, passed away on November 29, 2017 at the age of 90.  Rose was known for her dedication to family, renowned cooking, and being a kind, sweet, and gentle-spirited woman.  She lived her life with grace and love, and will be forever missed. 
Rose was the devoted wife of the late George E. Tawa. Loving mother of Edward Tawa, Carolyn Ghantous and her husband Nizom, Rhonda Banks and her husband Alan, and Philip Tawa. Cherished grandmother "Tata" of Tina Ghantous and her husband Makaio Maher, Katie Ghantous and her husband Bruno Chavarria, Matthew Ghantous and his wife Kat, and Alan C. Banks.  Beloved great-grandmother of Nuri and Nila Maher. Dear sister of the late Priscilla Shagoury, Dorothy Tahmoush, Mary Hallal and Nicholas Derany.  She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Rose's Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017.  Visiting hours begin at 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St) West Roxbury. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Rose will be laid to rest with her beloved George at Fairview Cemetery.
