Sandra I. "Nany" Marrero

Sandra I. “Nany” Marrero, of Boston, passed away on May 19, 2017.  She was 48 years old.

Born in Boston, Nany was a “Jack of all trades,” working as a youth counselor, hairdresser, EMT and bus driver.  An avid reader, she saw the beauty in everyone and everything.  An energetic soul, she loved singing and dancing, spending time with her beloved family, and most of all, making people laugh.  She lived life with no fear and aside from her own children, was mother to many children in need of a mother-figure in their lives.  She was a champion of defending the defenseless and taking care of anyone who was in need of such love.  

Nany was the dear and devoted wife of Fernando Beltran.  Loving mother of JD Linares and his wife Josellie of Orlando, FL, Lisandra Linares of Boston and Nelson Carrasquillo, also of Boston. Cherished Grandma of Liandro. Beloved daughter of Jorge “David” and Ida Marrero of Boston. Dear sister of Wilma Marrero-Crespo of Chelsea, Gevel Marrero of FL and the late Jorge “David” Marrero Jr. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Nany’s Life will be held Thursday at Congregación León de Judá, 68 Northampton St. Boston, at 7 p.m.  Visiting hours 2-6 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.

Nany will be laid to rest with her brother during a private interment at Fairview Cemetery.
