Essa “Ed” L. Sabbag, of Burlington, formerly of Waltham, passed away on March 14, 2019. He was 93 years old.
Born in Boston, Essa was a proud US Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a 50-plus year member of Bethesda (W) Lodge A.F. & A.M. and Aleppo Shrine Temple.
An avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, he owned and operated Servigraphics, a first-of-it’s-kind printing broker, which he founded in Boston in 1973.
Essa was the dear and devoted husband of the late Alice (Shagoury). Loving father of Lewis E. Sabbag and his wife Claudette of Reading and Lynne M. Sabbag of Burlington. Cherished grandfather “Shido” of Nicholas Sabbag and Marielle Sabbag. Dear brother of Raymond Sabbag and his wife Mary Lou of Newton, Lorraine Aswad and her husband Herbert of Newton and the late Marie Sabbag. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Essa’s Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. (Rte 135W at Rte 95/128 Exit 17) DEDHAM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Church Sunday 3-6 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Essa’s memory may be made to the Church.
He will be laid to rest with his beloved Alice at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
