Evelyn Ann (Aborjaily) Shedd

Evelyn A. (Aborjaily) Shedd of West Roxbury, formerly of Walpole and Roslindale, passed away October 26, 2017. She was 90 years old.

After graduating from Girl’s High School in Boston, Evelyn joined Manning Maxwell and Moore, where she met her husband Bob.  They were married in 1952 and moved to Roslindale to raise their family.  Evelyn later joined Peter MacFarlane Fuel Oil Company, working there for close to 20 years.  Once retired, they moved to Walpole, MA.  Evelyn was very involved with several organizations, including Bethany United Methodist Church, the Masons, and the Nicholas G. Beram Veterans Association and Women’s Auxiliary.  Her passions were cooking, caring for her family, reading, and watching Boston sports, never missing a Red Sox game.  In her final years, she lived with her son Bob and Susan Higgins, who provided her with exceptional care.

Evelyn was the dear and devoted wife of the late Robert B. Shedd. Loving mother of Robert P. Shedd and his significant other Susan Higgins of West Roxbury and Daniel Shedd and his wife Susan of North Reading. Beloved “Grandma” of Robert, Brianna, Andrew and Nicole. Dear sister of Rosaline Buchonis and her husband James of Centerville, Joyce Neals and her husband Theodore of North Reading and the late Frieda MacFarlane and her late husband Peter.  Dear sister-in-law of Helen Barber of Marlboro. Dear former mother-in-law of Carolyn Shedd. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a large extended family.

Evelyn’s Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY.  Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn’s memory may be made to N. G. Beram Veterans Assoc. c/o 26 Meadowbrook Rd. Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.

Evelyn will be laid to rest with her beloved Bob at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
