Josephine C. (Ioannilli) Anastasia

Josephine C. (Ioannilli) Anastasia of West Roxbury died on May 27, 2017 at age 96.  

She was born on November 30, 1920 to the late Caterina and Adelino Ioannilli.  Beloved wife of the late Charles J. Anastasia for 70 years.  Devoted mother of Janet Mason and her husband Donald of NY and Kathryn Anastasia of West Roxbury.  Loving grandmother "Grammy" of Joseph Mason and his wife Carol of NY.  Dear sister of Eleanor Persson of Dedham and the late Ernestine Frasca, Joseph Ioannilli, Mary Savignano, Esther DeBenedictis, and Charles Ioannilli.  

Josephine loved creating culinary wonders and was an avid knitter and gardener.  She was a longtime and faithful parishioner, eucharistic minister, and member of the Bazaar Committee of St. John Chrysostom Church since 1952.  She was awarded the Cheverus Medal in 2013 for her service to the church.  

Funeral from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of CEntre St.) West Roxbury Friday June 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Josephine's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Church 4740 Washington St. West Roxbury.  Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Josephine's memory may be made to the Church.  

Josephine will be laid to rest with her beloved Charles at New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
