Kenneth Throckmorton, of West Roxbury, formerly of Sudbury and Sandwich, passed away on December 6, 2018. He was 94 years old.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kenneth was a graduate of the University of Michigan and later obtained post graduate degrees at Marquette University. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran of World War II.
Kenneth worked for many years for Raytheon, both as an engineer and then later as a consultant. He was an architect and highly skilled woodworker, designing the family home in Sudbury and then again at the vacation home in Sandwich. He loved model trains and was always completing projects at his homes, taking the time to make sure everything was completed to the highest standard.
Kenneth was a member of the Lions Club and a longtime parishioner of the First Parish Church of Sudbury.
Kenneth was the dear and devoted husband of the late Sylvia (Meier). Loving father of Scott Throckmorton of Greenbush, Maine, Laurie Debow of Dedham and Robert Throckmorton and his wife Erin of Norcross, Georgia. He was the cherished grandfather of Jessie Wigfall and her husband Mark, and Madeleine and Audrey Throckmorton. Great-grandfather of Miles Migfall. Dear brother of Suzanne Hewitt of New Jersey.
