Rita W. (Cardoos) Maloof Ambrose

Rita W. (Cardoos) Maloof Ambrose, of Newton, formerly of Bedford and Watertown, passed away on August 12, 2017. She was 99 years old.

Rita was the dear and devoted wife of the late Leon S. Maloof and the late James J. Ambrose. Loving mother of Leonora Smith and her husband Richard of Florida, Laura George and her husband Richard of Stoughton, Samuel Maloof and his wife Kathy of Florida, and Michele Gallello and her husband Frank of Needham.  Beloved grandmother, “Tha Tha Rita” of 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Nicholas, Leander, Louis, Albert and Edward Cardoos, and Helen Wyshak and Margaret Dyer. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Rita's Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St, DEDHAM.  Visiting hours in the Church Wednesday 5 - 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita's memory may be made to the Church.

Rita will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
