Memories of Virginia As, Georgette & Louise Dikmak, first cousins

My early loss and unexpected of a mother and a baby sister at age 8 was a sorrow I would never have gotten over except for the warmth, kindness and support that lasted over many years and which saved me and my now departed sister Marie. The goodness that flowed from this family will never go away. We will miss our dear cousins Virginia and Bill.

We were able to share those trips with you to Revere Beach, tanning ourselves each weekend, enjoy the Syrian cooking, and the lasting friendship giving us courage from Aunt Jennie and Uncle George, your parents. Uncle George wrote a positive message in Arabic about sisters Carol and Marie Dikmak.

We are lighting a candle here in our home for Virginia, with prayers to you, Georgette and Louise, and to Virginia's children and families.

This loving family is mentioned in my book of a few years ago, "Mayflower Arab: A Memoir."

Much love,
Carol Rae Bradford and her family

Betty......I am so sorry for you loss. Bob was one of the kindest and nicest people I have ever known. I realized that from the first time I met him. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. God bless.

I was in school with Bobby all through school in Lexington. He was a gentle giant and so very kind. We last saw him at a gathering of our LHS Class of 1955 at a luncheon reunion in Waltham, where we greeted each other by name. God bless Bob and the goodness that he has left as his legacy. Our prayers of thanksgiving are with his wife and all of his family. May the celebration at the Cathedral be a lasting tribute to his beautiful life.
