Steven J. Mullen

Steven J. Mullen, of Roslindale, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on October 4, 2017. He was 49 years old.

Born and raised in Marshfield, Steve graduated from Salve Regina and worked as an I.T. Manager at Boston Children’s Hospital for over 20 years.  He also volunteered at Children’s Hospital in the Cystic Fibrosis Unit for several years.  

Steve was very kind and welcoming to anyone he came in contact with.  He was a great friend to many, and generally cared about everyone.  He was a huge fan of the Red Sox and the Rocky franchise, and he enjoyed playing sports with his friends and the occasional air guitar. What he loved most was spending time with his family.  His family and his boys were his world, and he could always be found coaching Parkway Little League, Parkway Youth Hockey and Parkway Youth Flag Football.  They enjoyed spending time during summers in Marshfield or vacationing in Wells, Maine.

Steve was the dear and devoted husband of Fionna (McIntyre). Loving father of Cormac, Nolan and Declan. Cherished son of Priscilla (Greene) of Marshfield and the late John J. Mullen. Dear brother of Jack Mullen and his wife Kim of Westport, CT and David Mullen and his wife Margarita of North Arlington, NJ. Dear son-in-law of Pearse McIntyre of Dedham and the late Anne.  Loving brother-in-law of Sheila McIntyre of Roslindale and Pearse McIntyre Jr. and his wife Beth of West Roxbury.

Steve’s Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa of Avila Church.  Visiting hours will be held Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.

Steve will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
