Adele Dikmak

October 21, 1923 — August 6, 2009

Adele (Maloof) Dikmak of Canton, formerly of Dedham, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2009 at the age of 84. Adele was born and raised in Boston, graduated from the High School of Practical Arts, and worked for many years as a seamstress in Boston's Garment District. Adele was the dear and devoted wife of Charley Dikmak. Beloved mother of Charles F. Dikmak and his wife Wendy of Marlborough, and Lorraine McGrath and her husband William of Canton. Loving grandmother “Sithoo” of Alexandra Rose McGrath and Reese Welcome Dikmak. Dear sister of Wadia Boyko of Medfield, Lillian Whittaker of Canton, and the late Najla Haddad and Abraham Maloof. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Adele's Funeral Service was held Tuesday August 11, 2009 in the Church of St. John of Damascus 300 West St. Dedham. Contributions in Adele’s memory may be made to the Church or to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Canton Council on Aging 600 Washington St. P.O. Box 54 Canton, MA 02021. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
