Agnes Battit

Agnes “Aunt Agnes” Battit, of Lexington, passed away on May 23, 2018. She was 92 years old.

Agnes was born and raised in Somerville and worked for over 40 years as a teacher in the Somerville Public Schools.

Agnes was the dear and devoted daughter of the late Olga (Dahan) and Joseph Battit. Loving sister of Mary B. Mabardi of Lexington. Dear godmother and aunt of Michelle Mabardy and her husband Chuck of Lexington.  Beloved great aunt of Carolyn, Charles Jr. and Anthony Mabardy, as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Agnes' Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 8 Inman St. CAMBRIDGE. Visitation in the Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Agnes’ memory may be made to the Church.

Agnes will be laid to rest with her beloved parents at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
