Alice M. Medwar

Alice M. (Robbat) Medwar of Winchester passed away November 28, 2009 at the age of 84. Born in Medford, Alice graduated Medford High School in 1943. She was well known for her culinary arts and catering. Alice worked as a homemaker for her large family, and was very active at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in Cambridge. Alice was the dear and devoted wife of the late Joseph Medwar. Beloved mother of Joseph D. Medwar of Winchester, and Aurora, Paul Medwar and his wife Lanora of Bedford, Dr. Mary Medwar and her husband Allan Arena of Andover, Robert Medwar and his wife Kristin of Andover, and the late Daniel Medwar. Dear grandmother "Tha Tha" of 8 grandchildren. Loving sister of Charles Robbat of Medford, Elaine Boudros of Burlington, and the late Helen Matook, George, Joseph, and Albert Robbat. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Alice's Funeral Service was held Wednesday December 2, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church 8 Inman St. Cambridge. Visiting hours were in the Church Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions in Alice's memory may be made to the Church. Interment concluded the services at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
