Badiaa (Tannous) George, 89, of Dedham, MA died on August 17th, 2026.

Daughter of the late Michael and Anastasia Tannous, she was born on March 13, 1937, in Kfarkeddeh, Lebanon.

After getting married and immigrating to the United States in 1966, Badiaa worked for many years as a professional nanny and a caregiver for multiple families in the Boston area.

In her free time, Badiaa enjoyed cooking, baking and going to the casino. She always made sure everyone was well fed and took home lots of food and baked goodies. She was the perfect example of Lebanese hospitality. Badiaa also enjoyed spending time with her beloved and large extended family including her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and their families. Badiaa was also an active member of her church. She enjoyed volunteering, cooking and baking at many church events and festivals.

Badiaa was the beloved wife of the late Abraham George. She was also the devoted mother of her son, the late John A. George and his wife Olivia Contini. Survivors include her three brothers, George and his wife Laure Tannous of Florida, Abe and his wife Colette Tannnous of Dedham, MA and Jean and his wife Martina Tannous of Canada; Her sister Ivonne and her late husband Riad Kassis of Canada. Many nieces and nephews and their families in the Boston area, in Florida and in Canada. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Souad and her late husband Hanna Geagea, Aida and her late husband Diab Eid, Laure and her late husband Jack Ataya.

Services Visitation will be held on Thursday August 20, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St, West Roxbury, MA 02132. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church, 61 Rockwood Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Burial will follow at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, 409 Corey St, West Roxbury, MA 02132.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Our Lady of The Cedars of Lebanon Church in Badiaa's memory.
