Bessie K. Poulos

Bessie (Kanakis) Poulos of West Roxbury passed away on February 14, 2011. She was 94 years old. Bessie was the dear and devoted wife of the late George Poulos. Loving mother of Jeanne Yphantes of Walpole, Peter Poulos and his wife Lucy of Marshfield and Christina Lambrenos and her husband Constantine of Dedham. Cherished grandmother “YiaYia,” of 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Christos Kanakis of Jamaica Plain. She is predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Bessie is also survived by her nieces and nephews. Bessie's Funeral Service was held february17, 2011 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England. Contributions in Bessie’s memory may be made to the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 601 Sherman St. Canton, MA 02021. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.
