Brian H. Mccusker

Brian H. McCusker of Boston passed away on  April 17, 2018.  He was 71 years old.

Brian is survived by his daughter Jill McCusker and her fiancé Samuel Rees of Roslindale, his son Daniel McCusker and wife Elizabeth of Jamaica Plain, and his former wife Linda McCusker of Norwood. Also survived by his brothers Thomas McCusker of Westwood, Kevin McCusker (Barbara) of Weymouth, Richard McCusker (Mary) of Roslindale, his sisters Patricia Bailey (Peter) of West Roxbury, Roseanne McCusker Scanlan (Paul) of Roslindale, and his sister-in-law Roberta McCusker of Westwood, as well as his nieces and nephews that he loved and was as proud of as if each was his own. Brian was predeceased by his brothers Michael, James, and Charles, and his sister Noreen McCusker, and his sisters-in-law Josephine McCusker and Patricia McCusker.

Brian was raised in the Roslindale section of Boston, the second youngest of 10 children born to Thomas P. McCusker and Nora (Dillon) McCusker. He graduated from Mission High School and then Boston State College, and after serving his country honorably in the National Guard, embarked on a long and successful career as a salesman at United Liquors. Brian settled in Westwood, where he raised his children with love and laughter, and opened his home to extended family and friends on many joyful occasions. He loved animals, especially his dog Cocoa, camping, tennis, Charles Dickens novels, drawing, painting and adventures at the beach. He was personable, gregarious and quick-witted, enjoying nothing more than regaling his family and friends with wonderful stories filled with humor. He was loved and cherished by all who knew him, and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Brian's funeral will be from the KFOURY KEEFE FUNERAL HOME, 8 Spring St., WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Church at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours Tuesday April 24, 2018 from 4 to 8pm.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Interment with committal service at St. Michael's Cemetery Chapel, 500 Canterbury St., Roslindale.
