Catherine C. Balbanis

Catherine C. (Stenson) Balbanis, a life-long resident of Jamaica Plain, passed away on May 22, 2012. She was 83 years old. Born in Boston, Catherine was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Catherine was the loving mother of Eddie Keane of California, and Ann Marie Santostefano and her husband Vincent of Millis. Cherished Nana of Angela, Nicole and Michael Santostefano and her beloved great-granddaughter Gianna. Dear sister of Mary McDonough of West Roxbury, Patricia Farrell of Jamaica Plain and the late Rita Shea. Life-long friend of Alice McConnell. Catherine is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Catherine's Funeral Mass was celebrated May 26, 2012 at St. Theresa of Avila Church. She was laid to rest with her parents at the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery. Please make donations in Catherine's memory to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
