Catherine Marie "Caye" (Cavanaugh) Campbell, a longtime resident of West Roxbury, passed away on December 15, 2016. She was 82 years old. Caye is remembered for her warm smile, sage advice, helping hands, and her concern and care for others.
Caye was the dear and devoted wife of James J. Campbell. Loving mother of Catherine Campbell and her husband Jack of Roslindale, James F. Campbell and his wife Cameron of Roslindale, Julie A. Campbell of Roslindale and Stephen M. Campbell and his wife Katrine of Reading. Cherished grandmother, “Oma,” of Chris, Caytie, Trae, Shay, Emelie, Lara, Margot, Griffin and Parker. Dear sister of William (Ginny) Cavanaugh of Natick, James (Carol) Cavanaugh of Hingham, Deacon Michael (Claire) Cavanaugh of Braintree and the late Francis (Phyllis), Joseph (Lois) and Thomas (Carol) Cavanaugh. She is also survived by many loving friends, nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 9 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa of Avila Church Thursday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday 3-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Catherine’s memory may be made to the VNA Care, Fund Development Office, 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180 Danvers, MA 01923 or to The Home for Little Wanderers, Development Department, 10 Guest Street, Boston, MA 02135.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
