Chandar K. (Bhardwaj) Vaid

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Chandar Kanta Vaid, who left us peacefully on the morning of October 20, 2025. Born on January 15th, 1939, in Malpur, India, Chandar came to the United States in 1970, where she built a beautiful life rooted in family, generosity, and joy.

Chandar was known for her radiant smile and her boundless kindness. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel welcome and cared for—always ensuring others were comfortable, well-fed, and happy. Whether she was preparing home-cooked meals for neighbors or celebrating life’s little moments, her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose vibrant spirit and laughter will be deeply missed. Our beloved Chandar is survived by her sons Kuldip, Pradeep, and Jaideep, along with her cherished grandchildren, who will forever carry her love and lessons in their hearts.

Her life was a reflection of compassion, resilience, and joy, a true celebration of family and togetherness. She will be remembered always with gratitude and love by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Chandar’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Puja, Bhajan and Lunch will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Lunch 12-1 p.m.) at the Shivalaya Temple of Greater Greater Boston 407R Mystic Ave. Medford, MA 02155 (www.shivalayaboston.com).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chandar’s memory may be made to The Temple.
