Charles J. Anastasia

Charles J. Anastasia,of West Roxbury, passed away December 5, 2014 at age 94. Charles was the beloved husband of Josephine (Ioannilli) for 69 years. Devoted father of Janet Mason and her husband Donald of NY and Kathryn Anastasia of West Roxbury. Loving grandfather of Joseph Mason and his wife Carol of NY. Dear brother of Richard Anastasia of Canton and the late Marie Vanelli, George Anastasia, Dorothy Sheilds, Lorraine Jacobs, Claire Torpey and Patricia Yirrell. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Charles was a dedicated employee and Labor Relations Specialist of Raytheon of 38 years and Vice President and Director Emeritus of the RTN Federal Credit Union for 25 years. Charles was a longtime and faithful parishioner, usher and member of the finance committee of St. John Chrysostom Church since 1952. He was awarded the Cheverus Medal in 2013 for his service. Charles' concelebrated Funeral Mass was held at St. John Chrysostom Church on December 10, 2014. Charles was laid to rest at New Calvary Cemetery in Roslindale.
