Christopher C.
Welch
August 28, 1950 – May 5, 2026
Christopher C. Welch, 75, of Sudbury, Massachusetts, cast his final line on May 5, 2026.
Born to Albert and Marguerite Welch, as a long-time resident of Framingham, Massachusetts, he spent his youth fishing, diving, skating and boating in the reservoir behind his house. Chris graduated from Framingham South High School in 1968 where he played on the varsity hockey team. After attending Boston College, he managed many local restaurants until he moved with his beloved Boston Whaler, Sea Pig to Miami, Florida.
Later returning to the Boston area he explored the waters from Rockport to the islands when he wasn’t working as a carpenter. Known for his legendary storytelling, Chris was a man of dry wit with a penchant for helping others which was clear to his community at Coolidge Apartments in Sudbury. He was predeceased by his parents and leaves his sisters Cheryl Welch Ferrer of Miami, FL and Cynthia Welch Conroy of Plantation, FL; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Jonathan, and Jennifer Ferrer, Michael Conroy, Christine Conroy-Bourne and grand nephew, Culhane Bourne.
A celebration of life is planned for later in the summer.
