David Brian Engdahl

David Brian Engdahl of Dedham, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday January 13, 2024. He was 53 years old.

He leaves his wife Kristen Spencer, his beloved children Kayleigh, Meghan, and Brody, as well as his mother, Edna Engdahl and her husband Michael William's. David also leaves his uncle, John Engdahl and his wife Helen, Robert Engdahl and his wife Patty, and his aunt Marsha Kroell and her husband Marty, as well as many more family members and cousins.

David was a longtime resident of Dedham, graduating from Dedham High School in 1988, where he played baseball and basketball. He received his Masters Degree from New England College of Business and Finance. He worked as an IT project manager, consulting for many companies throughout his career.  He loved video games, movies, comic books, wrestling, and sports, and used these frequently to connect with his children and the community.

David was known to use his love and passion for sports for his children’s sports teams. For years, he coached baseball & flag football for his son’s team, the Dedham Pathfinders, alongside his daughters. He also volunteered to coach his oldest daughter’s softball teams, as well as supporting her at her other sporting events. On top of this, he would go to his youngest daughter’s dance recitals, as well as both daughter’s theater & choir concerts. David’s love of comedy also inspired him to organize and host an annual comedy show where the profits were donated to the Bobby’s Brigade charity.
