Deidre L. (Deem) Whitcomb

Deidre L. (Deem) Whitcomb, of Norwood, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on December 12, 2015. She was 60 years old.
Wife, Mother, Grammy, Sister, Friend, and caregiver, Dee was an incredible woman to many. Working for many years at Norwood Nursing & Rehab and Charlwell House in Norwood, her gift of helping others was amazing. Her passions included breeding and showing pure bred Australian Terriers and she was a member of the New England Terrier Club (NETC) for years, where she made life-long friends. An adoring Grammy to both of her M&M's (Grand-Daughters), Madison (aka Monkey) & Maeve (aka Miss Maeve). The amount of love she showed for them will be forever cherished. She enjoyed flowers, assisting at her sister and brother-in-law's florist shop as well as keeping the garden at her home beautiful. Greatly missed by all, leaving many memories, she is finally at peace with the love of her life.
Deidre was the dear and devoted wife of the late Paul R. Whitcomb. Loving mother of Matthew Whitcomb and his wife Nicole of Wayne, NJ and Scott Whitcomb and his wife Lindsay of Norwood. Cherished "Grammy" of Madison and Maeve. Dear sister of Lawrence Deem of Charlton, Lori Burridge of Falmouth and the late Karen Souza. Granddaughter in law of Alice Fischer of Walpole. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
