Denise M. (Hedderman) Kelly

Denise M. (Hedderman) Kelly of Lexington, MA, formerly of Rockville Centre, NY passed away on May 12, 2025. She was 76 years old. She was surrounded by her devoted husband and three daughters.

Denise raised her family in Rockville Centre, NY. She worked in real estate and served as a teacher’s aide at Wilson School, where she was beloved by the children and staff. She was happiest anywhere near the ocean and spent many wonderful summer days at the beach club with family and friends. Denise was an incredibly creative and talented person who loved the arts. She hosted craft fairs out of her house, decorated parties like a professional and loved going to Broadway shows with friends. Denise enjoyed traveling and was delighted to spend time with her entire family in Ireland in 2023. She cherished the role of grandmother and was devoted to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Peter Kelly and their three daughters. Tara Kelly and her husband Brian Fallon of Dublin, Ireland; Katie Kelly and her partner Darren Skehan of Acton, MA; and Colleen Evans and her husband James of West Roxbury, MA. Denise was a proud and loving grandmother of five grandchildren - Nora, Eoghan, Edie, Maggie and Aine. She was the dear aunt of Christine Dunlap and Matthew Dunlap.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) West Roxbury, MA 02132. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Denise’ s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Red Cross.
