Dorothy "Dot" E. (Clarke) Galera

Dorothy “Dot” (Clarke) Galera, of Roslindale, passed away on May 2, 2018.  She was 89 years old.

Born and raised in Boston, Dot was a proud longtime member of the Bernadines and the Holy Name Guild.  She loved playing bingo and spending time by the ocean, especially Horseneck Beach and Nahant beach.

Dot was the dear and devoted wife of the late Edward Galera and the late Henry Lydecker. Loving daughter of the late Ethel Clarke. Loving mother of Carolyn Lebovitz of Norwood, Elizabeth Kouba of North Attleboro, Michele Forgey and her husband Donald of Westfield, Marilyn Gonzalez and her husband Romeo of Mississippi and Kathy Costello of Marshfield.  “Grandma Dot” of 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Dot’s Funeral Service will be held Monday May 7, at 12 noon at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY.  Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dot’s memory may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 188 Needham St. Newton, MA 02461.

Dot will be laid to rest with her mother at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
