Oudan

Dr. Rodney Oudan, a respected scholar, educator, and mentor, passed away on April 13, 2026, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the field of marketing and higher education.
Born in Trinidad, Dr. Oudan came to the United States to pursue his academic ambitions and dedicated his life to learning and teaching. He earned a Doctor of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s degree from Cambridge College, and a Bachelor of Science from the Chartered Institute of London.
Dr. Oudan served as a tenured Professor of Marketing at Worcester State University, where he inspired countless students through his dedication to teaching and his passion for the discipline. Prior to his time at Worcester State University, he contributed his expertise to the academic communities at Northeastern University and Fisher College in Boston.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Dr. Oudan accumulated more than twenty-seven years of teaching experience, shaping the minds of future business leaders. He also spent a decade in industry, specializing in brand management and marketing management consulting. A prolific scholar, he authored two books on marketing as well as numerous journal publications, with expertise spanning marketing research, strategic marketing, consumer psychology, and international marketing.
Dr. Oudan was the beloved son of Dolly Oudan, whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Rena Oudan of Dedham.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St) West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
He will be remembered for his commitment to education, his intellectual curiosity, and the profound impact he had on his students, colleagues, and community. His legacy lives on through the many individuals he taught, mentored, and inspired. He dedicated his life to his mother and sister and was a wonderful friend you could count on for anything. He truly loved life and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
