Edward G. Cahaly

July 26, 1932 — April 15, 2017

Edward G. Cahaly, of Norwood, passed away April 15, 2017.  He was 84 years old.

Born in Boston, Edward was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He worked for many years as Plant Manager for the Foxboro Company and was an adjunct professor of business at Stonehill College and Boston College.  An avid and satisfied Patriots fan, Edward also loved to read and always had a book in his hand.  He obtained Associate, Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Northeastern University and Babson College, all while working full and part-time jobs, and helping Gloria, his beloved wife of 62 years, raise their children.  Edward loved playing tennis and was active in the sport until the age of 78.  He was happiest surrounded by his family and friends, at large gatherings, manning the grill by the pool at what he called “Eddie’s Paradise.”  He was the ultimate lover of life and family man, putting his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren above all else.

Edward was the dear and devoted husband of Gloria (Tawa). Loving father of Karen Verrochi and her husband Thomas of Foxboro, Diane Ricci and her husband Mark of Essex, James Cahaly and his wife Diann of West Newbury and Michael Cahaly of Canton.
