Eyre, Edwin M. Of West Roxbury passed away on May 7, 2014 at the Deutsches Altenheim German Center in West Roxbury at the age of 92. Mr. Eyre Lived in Islip, NY until retiring to FL, where he lived in Stuart and then Vero Beach. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary E. Eyre, and their sons John and his wife Lois Pike Eyre of Riverhead, NY and Robert and his wife Katherine of Wayland. He is also survived by his grandchildren Peter Eyre and his wife Rebecca of Arlington, VA, Stephen Eyre and his wife Catherine Sumner of Dedham and Andrew Eyre of Brookline. Dear grandfather of Zoe and Colin. Also survived by his sister Emily Jane Rives of St. Simon’s, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Eyre attended St. George’s School in Newport, RI and was in the NY Coast Guard Reserve until 1945. Prior to his retirement, he was an insurance broker for State Farm Insurance.
