Elias A. "Louie" Sabbag

Elias A. "Louie" Sabbag of Allston, passed away on June 21, 2015. He was 89 years old. Born on Hudson St. in Boston's South End, Louie moved to West Roxbury as a young boy. A life-long parishioner of the Church of St. John of Damascus, he was an avid reader and loved to play pinochle with his friends, whenever they could get together. Louie was an avid Boston sports fan and a proud US Marine Veteran of WWII.
Louie was the dear and devoted husband of the late Rose (Sakakini). Loving father of Elaine Sabbag of Brighton, Abraham Sabbag of Brighton, Valerie Wier and her husband Bill of AZ and Kathryn Anderson and her husband Michael of Dorchester. Dear brother of Russell Sabbag of FL and Marion Haddad of Natick and the late Antoon and Fred Sabbag. Brother-in-law of John and Joan Sakakini. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Louie's Funeral Service was held on Thursday, June 24, 2015 at the Church of St. John of Damascus in Dedham. Contributions in Louie's memory may be made to the Church. Louie was laid to rest with his beloved Rose at Fairview Cemetery in Boston.
