Esther (Ioannilli) Debenedictis

Esther C. (Ioannilli) DeBenedictis of West Roxbury, passed away on May 14, 2015 at the age of 97.
Born and raised in Boston, Esther was a 1936 graduate of the Roxbury Memorial High School for Girls. She trained for her career at the Boston Clerical School and the Chandler Secretarial School. Esther worked for many years at New England Telephone.
She was the dear and devoted wife of the late Joseph DeBenedictis. Beloved mother of Joseph DeBenedictis and his wife Linda of Pocasset, Virginia Gannon and her husband Leo of West Roxbury, Mary Duhaime and her husband Paul of West Roxbury. Loving "Grammy" of Elizabeth, Leo, Daniel, Alyssa, Michael, Christina, Mark, Renee and Matthew. "Great-Grammy" of Zachary. Dear sister of Mary Savignano of Wareham, Josephine Anastasia of West Roxbury, Eleanor Persson of Dedham, and the late Ernestine Crisafulli Frasca, and Joseph and Charles Ioannilli. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Esther's Funeral Mass was celebrated May 20, 2015 at St. Theresa of Avila Church, where she and Joseph were married.
