George Demetri Gatteny

George Demetri Gatteny, a lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away on December 25, 2021.  He was 84 years old.

George was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, as well as a proud Mason and Shriner.

He was the dear and devoted husband of Judith E. (Palmer) Gatteny.  Loving father of George D. Gatteny Jr. and his wife Karen of Burlington, Gregory C. Gatteny and his wife Beth of New Hampshire, Marcia M. Taranto and her husband Mark of New Hampshire.  Dear grandfather "Jido" of Devon and Lily Gatteny, Cameron and Kylie Taranto.  Loving brother of the late Louie, Selma, Lilly, Mary and Samuel Gatteny, and the late Margaret Bahrs.  Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

George's funeral services will be private.
