Gerard J. “Gerry” Martel, of Norfolk, formerly of Walpole, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on August 1, 2018. He was 58 years old.

Gerry was self employed at ADL Electrical Service, which he named after the girls in his life.

Gerry was the dear and devoted husband of Dianne (Saba). Loving father of Allison Martel and Lauren Martel of Norfolk. Loving son of Arthur and the late Madeline (Morin) of Hollywood, FL. Dear brother of Denise Doherty and her husband Albert of Walpole, Paul Martel and his wife Julianna of Hilton Head, SC, Michele Martel of Columbus, OH, Victor Martel of Chicago, IL, and Bernadette Martel and her wife Kim of Anchorage, AK.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Gerry’s Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Rd. WEST ROXBURY.  Visiting Hours will be held Sunday 4-8 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gerry’s memory may be made to the Dana Farber Center for Neuro-Oncology P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Gerry will be laid to rest at Norfolk Cemetery in Norfolk.
