Herbert Louis Aswad

Herbert L. Aswad of Newton passed away on February 13, 2024 at the age of 95.

Herb was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, and a longtime member of the Bethesda Masonic Lodge.

He was the dear and devoted husband of the late Lorraine (Sabbag) Aswad; loving father of Richard Aswad and his wife Patricia of Nahant, Dr. Paul Aswad and his wife Cynthia of Needham, and the late Louis Aswad; dear “Jido” of 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mitchell, George, and Gloria Aswad.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Herb's Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. John of Damascus 300 West St. Dedham.  Visiting hour in the Church Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Herb will be laid to rest with Louis and Lorraine at Newton Cemetery.
