James G. Peters

James G. Peters, Protopsaltis Emeritus, of Brookline, formerly of Boston's South End passed away September 5, 2013. He was 84 years old. Jim was the dear and devoted husband of the late Sadie A. (Kenaan) Peters. Loving father of Carleton J.G. Peters of Brookline and Ramona J. Locke and her husband Sean of Brookline. Cherished grandfather of Daniel P. Locke of Norwood, Kaitlyn M. Locke of CA, James J. Mackin and his fiancée Catherine of Lynn and Brian M. Mackin of Allston. Great-grandfather of James Joseph Mackin and Brian Christopher Mackin Calendres. Dear son of the late George and Sadie Peters. Dear brother of the late Mitchell, William, Alice Kalil and John. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Jim's Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Rd. WEST ROXBURY. Visiting hours in the Church Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 9-10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jim’s memory to the 21st Century Fund of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. Proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Life member of the D.A.V. the N.G.
