James W. Salem

James W. Salem, of Norwood, formerly of Quincy and Roslindale, passed away on February 1, 2022. He was 84 years old.

Born in Boston, James was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He was the dear and devoted husband of Jeanne (Hodges). Loving father of Christina Salem of Boston, Barbara Sylvain and her husband Aaron of Tilton, NH and David Salem of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Sydney Rose Sylvain. Dear bother of the late Richard Salem and Karen Salem. Brother-in-law of George and Patty Hodges. Uncle of Veronica and Michael Imbaro and George Hodges. Great uncle of Sophia Imbaro.

James’ services will be private. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 55 Emmonsdale Road, West Roxbury, MA 02132, or to St. Mary Orthodox Church, 8 Inman St. Cambridge, MA 02138.
