Janice (Rawan) Jabbour of West Roxbury passed away on August 15, 2021.
When Janice was young, she was diagnosed with a heart condition. At nine years old her doctor told her mother that she would not live till 13. How wrong the doctor was!
Janice loved to read and read at least a book a week. She loved education. She skipped the 2nd grade and prided herself on being number one in most every class. When she graduated high school, she told her father that she would work during the day and go to college at night. He told her it was too much for her to endure, and she cried. Janice loved to attend school graduation ceremonies. Listening to the speakers at her children’s, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren’s high school, college and post college graduations was an event she treasured. This October 1st, she and Sam would have been married for 71 years. They both say the first 50 are the hardest.
Janice was the beloved mother of Michael Jabbour and his wife Helen, and Paula Girela, all of Dedham. Loving grandmother "Tete"of Susan Andreas and her husband Michael of NJ, Samantha Williams and her husband Jacob of CT, Sarah Mettasophia of RI, Steven Ahto and his wife Camila of Braintree, David Ahto and his fiancee Madeleine Pasciuti of Framingham. Dear great-grandmother "Great Tete" of Sydney and Emilia Andreas. Loving sister of Gloria Razook, Patricia Rawan, Diane Beshere, Dennis Rawan, and the late Andrew Rawan, Violet Bargoot, and Helen Gabriel. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
