John V. Finnerty

John V. Finnerty of West Roxbury passed away on April 30, 2024. He was 90 years old.

John was the dear and devoted husband of Marie Pierre and the late Barbara (Rouge). Loving father of Maureen Thornton and her husband Michael of Osterville. Cherished grandfather of John T. Freer, Katherine Freer, Tanyva Charles, Tanyla Charles and Gyana Charles.

John's Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Theresa of Avila Church in West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research Grand Central Station P.O. Box 4777 New York, NY 10163.

John was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30 pm on May 7, 2024.
