John T. Shopov

John T. Shopov of West Roxbury, passed away on April 27, 2018.  He was 92 years old.

John was the dear and devoted husband of Vasilka (Carcarevska). Loving father of Mary Shopov Padovano and her husband Anthony of Avon and Dr. Theodore Shopov of Cambridge. Dear brother-in-law of Costa Stergue of CT and uncle of Kathryn Stergue and Costa John Stergue, also of CT. Dear brother of Stana, Jordana, Peter and Zheko as well as numerous other family members in Bulgaria.

John’s Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY, Thursday at 9 a.m.  His Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 24 Orchardhill Rd. Jamaica Plain. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

John will be laid to rest at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.

Following the interment, the family will be gathering at West on Centre in West Roxbury for a luncheon to celebrate John’s life.  All are invited to attend.
