Joseph Khoory

Joseph Khoory, 89, passed away on January 7th, 2017 at his residence in Natick, MA.

Hundreds of family and friends gathered at St. Matthew’s Syriac Orthodox Church 149 Park St. West Roxbury, MA on January 10th, 2017 for Joseph's Funeral Service. He was laid to rest at The Gardens Cemetery in West Roxbury, MA.

Joseph Khoory was born in Mosul, Iraq to Latifah and Sulaiman Khoory on September 10, 1927. He graduated from Baghdad University.  He married Salwa Makdesi on September 21, 1961 in Lebanon. He led various careers as a biology professor and agricultural researcher in Baghdad Iraq, and an accountant at L’elite Boston.

Joseph Khoory is survived by his wife Salwa, children Ghassan and wife Gisele, Juann, Dr. Wissam and wife Dr. Rattna Phull, his brothers Fadi and Maged Khoory, his sisters Suad and Yaldus Khoory, and his grandchildren Joseph Jr., Mattie, Natalie, Stephanie, Nailah, Anthony, Nicholas, Sofia, Sienna and Matteo, as well as many other family members.
