Joseph Saghbini, known by those who loved him as “ZiZi,” passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 72.
He was one of nineteen children, born in 1953 on a farm in Terból, Lebanon. There, he helped raise his siblings, nieces, and nephews before coming to America in 1985. He was devoted to family and cherished a full, happy home. Joseph loved everyone, and everyone loved him. He was full of joy, and the smile on his face lit up any room until the last days of his life. He loved playing cards, cooking for his family, and watching the news. Above all else, he loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Joseph was the devoted husband of Theresa; the loving father of Rocco, Johnny, and Mariam; and the beloved father-in-law of Amanda and Karim. He was a cherished Jido to Anthony, Rocco, Sadie, Dorian, Ana, and a sixth grandchild on the way. He was the brother of Sajji, Amira, Yvette, Mounir, Amir, Josephine, Therese, Rokus, Tony, Hanaan, Dolly, Vilma, Marie, Nada, Imad, Rabih, Amal, and Ziad. He is also survived by over 100 loving nieces and nephews.
Joseph will be laid to rest in Lebanon alongside his parents, Najib and Georgette.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for Mar Takla Church in Terbol.
