Judith N. (Abdow) Zahka

Judith N. (Abdow) Zahka, of Foxborough, formerly of Belmont, passed away on October 22, 2018.  She was 78 years old.

Judith was the dear and devoted wife of the late Philip A. Zahka.  Loving mother of Laura Ann McGrath and her husband Richard of Lunenberg, Abraham Philip Zahka and his wife Susan of Foxboro, Dr. Cynthia Lynn Mazzoni and her husband Paul of Belmont, and Stephanie Beth Burke and her husband Mark of Lexington.  Cherished grandmother “Sitto” of Sgt. Richard V. McGrath and his wife Jordin of MCAS Yuma, Bryana L. McGrath of Leominster, Gregory P. McGrath of Santa Barbara, CA, Joelle E. Zahka of Foxboro, Alyssa A. Zahka of Nashville, TN, Gabrielle V. Mazzoni, Miceala T. Mazzoni and Nicholas R. Mazzoni, all of Belmont and Caitlyn W. Burke and Ashley E. Burke, both of Lexington.  Dear sister of Carol Dame of Southborough, Francine Abdow of NY and the late Robert Abdow.  Dear sister-in-law of Gloria Zahka, Jean Teebagy and Charles Zahka.  She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Judith’s Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. DEDHAM.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Please note, there will be no procession from the Funeral Home to the Church on Thursday morning.  Attendees of the Funeral Service are to go directly to the Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judith’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215.

Judith will be laid to rest with her beloved Philip at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
