Kathleen Lyons

Kathleen (Downey) Lyons, a 40 year resident of West Roxbury, passed away on February 26, 2012. She was 98 years old. Kathleen was the dear and devoted wife of the late James J. Lyons. Loving mother of James J. Lyons Jr. and his friend Nancy Burke of Roslindale, and Kevin Lyons and his wife Claudia of Sharon. Beloved “Nana” of Brendan and his wife Cari, Gene and his husband Ryan, Emily and Katharina. Dear sister of Anna Cuniff, Gertrude O’Brien and the late Joseph, James, Mary, Helen and Lillian. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Kathleen's Funeral Mass was celebrated March 1, 2012 at St. Theresa of Avila Church. Contributions in Kathleen’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105. Kathleen was laid to rest with her husband James at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
