Kevin J. Murphy

Kevin J. Murphy, resident of Needham, MA, formerly of West Roxbury, MA, passed away on Monday August 15, 2016 after a tenacious battle with Carcinoid Cancer. Son of the late Arthur J. Murphy and the late Claire T. Murphy, he was born in Boston, MA on September 22nd 1950. Kevin was the beloved husband of Dolores Marie (Prioli) Murphy for 44 years. Devoted father of Kevin M. Murphy, Christina M. Murphy and Kerri M. Schubert. Dedicated father-in-law of Christian R. Schubert and Gwenn A. Murphy. Cherished grandfather of Leo M. Schubert, Charlie A. Schubert and soon to be Camdyn A. Murphy. Beloved brother-in-law to Andrea (Prioli) Fleming, her husband John Fleming and uncle to Sean Fleming. Kevin is survived by his brothers Michael Murphy and Mark Murphy, brothers-in-law Paul and Richard Prioli and their respective families. Kevin was a successful business owner and CEO of a Children's Publishing Company, consultant, and author of several internationally published management books. An avid golfer, philanthropist, food critic and connoisseur, Kevin was a generous and kind mentor to many family members, friends and colleagues over the years. Kevin also enjoyed spending time in his family home in York, Maine with his children, grandchildren, grand-dog Levi and the late family dog Callie. Words can't describe how much he was loved and how deeply he will be missed.
