Madelaine Hallak

Hallak, Madelaine (Akkawi) of Quincy, formerly of Norwood passed away peacefully on February 11, 2015. She was 88 years old. Madelaine was the dear and devoted wife of the late Nicolas Hallak. Beloved mother of Yaacoub Hallak of Norwood, George Hallak and his wife Nahla of Quincy, Hanibal Hallak of Norwood, Nada Hallak and her husband Saadi of Peabody, and the late Khouloud Hallak. Dear “Teta” of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Lily Hawa of OH, Isabelle Tanous of FL, Elham Assaf of VA, Walid Akkawi of FL, and the late Elias Akkawi. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Madelaine's Funeral Service will be held Saturday February 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Rd. WEST ROXBURY. Visiting hours in the Church Friday 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Madelaine’s memory may be made to the Church. Madelaine will be laid to rest with her beloved Nicolas at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
