Majid S. Farah of West Roxbury passed away on September 14, 2026. He was 70 years old.
Majid was born in Lebanon as the youngest of seven children into a large and loving family.
In 1988, amidst the civil war, Majid emigrated to America shortly after marrying his beloved wife, Nouhad Zougheib. Throughout his life, he connected with people from all walks of life across his various career paths, leaving a lasting impression with his warmth and infectious laugh. Majid found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—tending to his garden, cooking, completing word searches, and creating beautiful memories traveling with his family.
Majid is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nouhad Zougheib Farah, and their three children, Welina (37), Elias (35), and Josephine (34). He was a deeply proud and devoted father who always encouraged his children to pursue their education and reach for their dreams.
In October of 2025, Majid faced medical complications with incredible bravery. After reaching recovery, he faced further complications that proved too much for his body to bear. He spent his final days with the same quiet dignity and courage that defined his life.
Majid's Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Cedars of Lebanon Church 61 Rockwood Street in Jamaica Plain. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) in West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Following the Mass, Majid will be laid to rest at Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
