Maria S. Gonzalez

Maria S. Gonzalez of Mission Hill, passed away on December 16, 2013. She was 72 years old. Born in Puerto Rico, Maria taught school in Rochester, NY before moving to the Boston area 30 years ago. She continued to teach here in Boston, and loved to cook. She loved animals, especially her dog, "Thunder" and her 2 cats, "Petey" and "Cheetah." Maria was the dear and devoted wife of the late Antonio Ruiz. Loving mother of Carlos Padilla and Gualberto Padilla, both of Mission Hill. Cherished grandmother of Lynn Marie Cruzado. Dear sister of Jose Cruz of Boston, Juan Cruz of Waltham, Gregoria Contreras of CA, Milagras Cruz of Roslindale, Maria Mojica of CA, Juanita of Dorchester and the late Francisca Cruz. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Maria's Funeral Services will be private.
