Marilyn A. (Mcintyre) Larosa

June 22, 1942 — April 24, 2017

Marilyn  A. (McIntyre) LaRosa, of West Roxbury, passed away on April 24, 2017. She was 74 years old.

Born in Boston, Marilyn attended Notre Dame Academy in Boston from grades 1-12, earning an “A” average for 12 years and never once was she absent or tardy. She then went on to Boston Clerical School, later known as Boston Business School, and worked for several years as a legal secretary.

Marilyn was an Independent Realtor in the Parkway for over 40 years. She was very active in many professional realtor boards, including the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.  Over the years, Marilyn was very devoted to Rotary International.  She was the 1st woman President of any of the Rotary Clubs in Massachusetts and she even insisted on attending Rotary meetings while on vacation out of state and outside of the US.  She was a Paul Harris Fellow recipient and a very active member of the Ward 20 Democratic Committee for over 20 years.

Marilyn was the dear and devoted wife of 55 years of Salvatore LaRosa. Loving mother of John LaRosa of Roslindale.  Dear sister of John McIntyre of NJ and Susan Doyle of NC. Dear aunt of Andrea, Tracy, and Christopher.  She is also survived by many loving cousins.

Marilyn’s Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Friday at 9 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Chrysostom Church at 10 a.m.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Marilyn will be laid to rest at The Gardens Cemetery in West Roxbury.
